This project involves a 17,000 square foot addition and extensive renovations to the existing hospital in Northern Ontario. The new space will house a much needed dialysis unit to serve the community of Timmins and South Porcupine. The interior renovations are to create new labs in the existing hospital.

This 28,000 square foot, two storey addition to the existing health centre in Gravenhurst houses new patient exam rooms and about 15 doctors offices and serves approximately 15,000 patients from the Muskoka area. Exterior finishes include stone, heavy timber, aluminum and extensive curtain wall construction and the interior features a suspended, curved metal ceiling. After completion of the health centre, the existing offices were completely renovated to accommodate the municipal offices.

These projects involved the construction of two almost identical long term care facilities. Both are three storey, 100,000 square foot buildings that house a total of 244 new occupant rooms as well as auxiliary and support areas. The interiors feature extensive millwork and finish carpentry, as well as high quality finishes and both sites were completely redeveloped with new landscaping.

The one storey, 50,000 square foot long-term care facility in Northern Ontario is an entirely wood frame building and features numerous occupant suites, a chapel, a large common room, a kitchen, a crafts room and a hair salon.

The overall scope of this project includes a 75,000 square foot addition and renovations to the existing hospital and a long term care facility. Construction was done in phases to allow uninterrupted use of the existing hospital.
